I am very new to the laptop and its functions and abilities and my first game I had setup was monday night combat upon not supporting the native resolution (I went down a little) I had to tune the graphics down all the way to where it was unbearable to get anything that is playable in the slightest. Why is it running so bad? Anybody else getting the same problems?

EDIT:Killing floor also running pretty bad. Couldn't run well on high, medium or low what is wrong?
I am really confused because I am running just cause 2,minecraft,mirrors edge, mount&blade:warband and limbo all very well on this machine.. What gives!11onee!11

I have been looking around for how to whitelist my steam games and I have found nothing..
Do I whitelist a exe. or something? I am very new to this and have had a hell-ov-a-day. Sorry, but I am an idiot and want this cleared out. Also what program would this require? I already downloaded the latest nvidia driver if that is needed

EDIT: Sorry going to sleep now, I need it.
If you can help me out in anyway with assistance please post it, thanks

To whitelist steam games open nvidia control panel.
    Click add game
Navigate to the steam folder, steamapps folder, common folder and then the exe of thje game you want.
From there make sure high performance nvidia processor is on.
    Hit apply.

If the game runs on the hl2 engine like counterstrike or team fortess 2 you will go to the steamapps folder but instead Of common go to source and add any hl2.exe files from any game and it will take care of all source games since they all use hl2.exe

    Hope this helps.
Going to sleep myself let me know if you need anything else!

Hey again got woken up by a sound in the kitchen was nothing. Is there anyway I can whitelist the entire folder or something? So in order to get a game to work I got to whitelist the exe and that is it? Thanks again

yes, all you need to do is whitelist the exe or a shortcut to that exe and then set it to run on the nvidia chip.

Will I have to do this with most of my steam games? I mean whitelist individual exes.s

Usually it automatically figures out which ones use the nvidia GPU but sometimes it sets it to integrated and thus gives it worse performance.

I was running HL2 Lost Coast on battery for little while and still got decent framerates on high settings. My R3 plays games much smoother than my R2.
