I use this laptop to game, and judging by its specs it should be running the games i play alot better then it does. For example, i play League of legends and have trouble running that past 20fps, but with computers specs it should be running a constant 40-60. Even with SC2, from what ive read it should be able to run high - very high but i struggle with medium. Anyone have the same problems are suggestions how i could fix this?

    Have you whitelisted your games?

This lets you manually choose the Nvidia card to play the game with. Optimus was designed to automatically switch between the graphics cards so that the Nvidia card is activated when a game is launched. This works perfecly most of the time, but there are a few exceptions where it must be done manually.

All you need to do is:
    - go to the Nvidia control panel
    - click on Manage 3D settings
    - go to the Program settings tab
    - chose the .exe of the game you want to whitelist
    - select the High performance Nvidia processor

Sorry if you already knew that but they are the steps just incase. ;)

Also be sure to check to make sure your drivers are up to date or optimized for whatever games you are playing. Strangely enough, when I was using the Nvidia drivers released for the BF3 beta, my SC2 performance took a big hit and could only be played smoothly on Medium. Just google it up or ask here and you should get some good answers.

Folks, keep in mind that the latest driver isn't always the best.
