Haha hey guys, i have a question about my configs. I was playing cod/bc2 and recently my laptop has been getting really hot, which is not what's new, but now it's been shutting off on me randomly when it gets really hot. I don't have a cooling fan, but is there any way that i can game on without worrying about a laptop failure? maybe some settings that i didn't know should have been changed? any intellectual input appreciated.

yes it's only around like 150. i used to have it on 160 always. But the only recent change in which i've seen this has been after i installed the new video drivers for the 335m.

90C is still a bit high, just raise the bottom of the far end of your laptop a bit with a book or erasers or something. (I used to use erasers)

what? how do i know if the video card is OC'd?

btw my drivers that i just got were 270.61.

They still suck with running GTA4 lol.

and what's thermal paste? should i turn it off, take off the bottom and clear dust from the fan? (I'm kinda dumb with this laptop)

You don't have to take it apart, just clean it with compressed air or a vacuum. If it's dirty it'll be pretty obvious. If you've never cleaned it, and you've had it for months, it'll be VERY dirty.

Use compressed air with the exhaust vents, that should blow the majority of the dust up through the bottom grill. It wouldn't hurt to vaccum the bottom grill first.. I do this once per month and haven't had any real fluctuations in temperature for over a year.
