So i've searched around and havn't found anyone that has the same exact issue as i do with a fix for it....

So basically, In device manager i have the "integrated webcam" and it's driver installed. Right now my webcam is working fine and i am on skype. I use the alienware facial recognition. sometimes when i reboot, the alienware facial recognition can't detect the camera, i sign into windows and skype can't either. at this point i have to uninstall the driver and reboot letting windows reinstall it. sometimes this works and sometimes i have to do it 3 or 4 times for it to work. has anyone experienced a similar problem with their webcam?

    Greetings EntropikOne,
This occassionally happens due to the fact that the webcam is considered a usb device. Usually, a full shutdown and reboot will correct it. It's most commonly spotted on the M17X. Currently, there is no known fix, unless there's a bios update that resolves it.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
