Should we fully uninstall the old driver (266.58) and install this one if we want to test it out?

Last 3-4 NVIDIA released versions, I installed as custom; deselect 3d driver and select clean install. Selecting clean install will remove previous version and will require a restart once install is complete. Haven't had any issues installing this way.

Can't say this will work with any of the modded drivers, when I have used them I uninstall and use CCleaner before installing another version.

Can anyone confirm if this driver has shader issues with Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2?

To answer my own question... no these drivers still have issues with Left 4 Dead. From what I've read it's an issue of the guns not "reflecting" properly that makes them white.

Left 4 Dead also keeps turning off multicore rendering... which is not a good thing.

Not sure if I will keep these drivers or not. I will need to do more tests to see if the performance vs the 260.99 drivers is worth it. So far I'm inclined to say "No."

Ack, was hoping the next set of drivers would fix the L4D shader issues. I'll wait for the official release on this set.

I installed this new driver and Minecraft's performance as gone down by 50FPS. I put the settings down to Short and Fast graphics settings and no change.

Can anyone tell me if this one works with Pro Evolution Soccer 2011? I'm still on the 260.99 ones and they get me kicked playing BFBC2. The drivers that don't get me kicked don't work with PES 2011 ><

Why not just try it? Takes moments to run the installer. Just select the option for Clean install and let the installer do the rest. Can be installed right over your existing driver. I've been doing this now with the current NV drivers since they changed the installer and have not run into any issues (yet). ;)

Since I am not sure what is going on with l4d2, I'll go ahead and try the new drivers and report back.

    Edit 1:
What the frick is this line about: "Notebooks supporting Hybrid Power technology with Intel chipsets are not supported by this release." It's at the bottom of the supported products page.

Edit 2: L4d2 is not working. Game loaded and about 2 seconds after it loaded it crashed. Everything high, no AA, 1600x900 resolution (Connected via HDMI) Multicore rendering on

Have you tried disabling multicore rendering?
