    Hello, everyone.

Just installed the latest NVIDIA Control Panel update 306.97 on my R2, and the tray activity icon doesn't update anymore; it always shows as if the discrete is on. Hovering over the icon shows correctly if any programs are using discrete or not, but even when no programs are on the discrete card, it shows the full color icon.

Was this functionality taken out in the most recent updates? That would be depressing.

Is this a Dell update? If not, that might be your issue.

Have you checked which GPU is set as global default? You can find this in the nVidia control panel, under manage 3D settings.

I believe it is a option in the NVIDIA settings to always show. I always leave mine on to see what is using the graphics card.

I would rather use the previous drivers if that was taken out :p. Probably the reason why it is always on is because unless you use the DELL video drivers Optimus will not work properly.

I have been having the same problem for a long time. the problem comes and goes, sometimes the icon works correctly, other times it awlays stays green even if no programs are using it. this bug appears to be random. Is there no fix for this that anyone has found ?
