Defiantly used compressed air first before using any other method to reduce the chance of any other contaminants getting in there.

I am sure people with more experience will offer more advice soon.

    Regards.

+1 cannot think of a better idea unless you get a liquid that does not leave any water marks but compressed air is going to be way to clean it unless you have fingerprints visible.

well i used to have a DIY erectable tent of sorts (not a big one) with a fan on 1 side to with a filter, to get the dust out so i could work on things like that (was a fairly crude thing made from clear plastic and some sticks, wouldn't filter out all of the dust, but made it a lot better(wet cloth for a filter, hardcore that)) but i doubt it is worth going through all the trouble just for that lol.

hot shower would get the surfaces damp, i haven't opened my m11x screen, but i am fairly sure there should be a seal between screen and the cover thing, with too much moisture between them you might get fogging and/or water residue.

I get what you mean, i am OCD about dust between screen and cover as well(looking for seals new seals for my psp as dust keeps getting in there and p*ssing me off) best option is to just get into the most dust-free place in your house(think no furniture with fabrics, curtains that sort of thing, nothing for dust to come off) work with minimal sort of movement not to stir the dust up too much, you'll likely still get few bits of dust in there anyways, most likely.

i want a clean room for this sort of thing :(

I spilled beer on it and wiped it off on my chest.
