long story short, due to my carelessness only about half of the keys on my keyboard work. I need a keyboard for an R2 asap but can only find ones for about $100 on ebay. if anyone has a salvageable on off a dud, or could point me towards some other options online, i would be very appreciative.

That is probably your best option. Few people are modding m11x's at the moment and only with pin mods id bet. I don't think you'll find a spare dud one.

Any chance you have complete care warranty coverage? If so, then they'll send you a new one.

Ok, to wrap this loose end up; I ordered a new one, the the one installed started working fine the next day. The backlight is shot and is rather blotchy so I dont mind replacing it when the new board gets here tomorrow, but atleast i have a functional backup JIC.
