Ok so basically I did a clean install of Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

but I lost all of my drivers for my R1, I enteredthe tag on dells website for drivers and installed everything. But for some reason the alienware software to change the lighting is gone.

Besides the ones on the dell page, what other drivers do I need?

And there's one error when I updated the seagate driver...so now everytime I boot up the laptop I hear a loud beep and a "Non-system disk" press any key to continue. How do I get rid of that? I tried reinstalling it but kept getting the beep.

it shouldve came with win 7 preinstalled. does the m11x have the microsoft windows key sticker under the laptop? you dont have to buy another windows if it does. the sticker should tell you the version and you can download the windows disc and use the key.

I suppose so . On the Dell web site you will not find 32 bit drivers for this model because it is officially only with 64 bit OS . (Maybe you should try drivers for other models of AW) ) You can download the video 32 bit driver from Nvidia web site , but you will have to disable the Intel GPU in the BIOS before installing it .
