    Hi

I found out yesterday that i won one of these bad boys in a competition and am still so stoked. Iv been doing some research on it and the reviews are quite mixed but it seem's that so long as you set it up right (update everything, change all the right settings) its an amazing laptop

So was wondering if anyone could make me a sort of check list with everything (programs, hardware & software settings, bios) i should install/remove/update/change as soon as i get it to let it work optimally. i probably wouldn't mind overclocking it just a bit to get a bit more power unless u guys dont recommend it?

Also how can i max out battery capacity with regards to first charge cycle? should i let it run dry before charging it or never let it run dry?

If it helps at all i will be taking this laptop to uni daily and doing uni stuff (powerpoints, watching recorded lectures, word, onenote, pdf) as well as using it as a gaming laptop mostly for WoW and CS:S

    Thanks in advance
P.S. Sorry for the huge post but im understandably excited lol :p

you could start off by stating whether its R1, or R2 and I'll help you from there, or the other members could.

R1 will come with a Core 2 Duo
    R2 will come with a Core i5 or a Core i7.

I suggest you to first think about what things to ask specifically =)
That'll save a lot of time and effort !

I thought initially it was only available in the Asia Pacific market, but that was info we were getting when the R2 first launched back in early June. Looking at the Dell Australia site, they do have the i3 as an option, although some of the references on their M11x page only state i5 and i7.
