Sweet jesus, you have my thanks for eternity! XD

The sound popping issue was super noticeable even in a room with mild sound, at least to my ears. But once I hear/see something I can't stop hearing or seeing it.

I wasn't paying attention but did notice distortion and crackling with my speakers can I install this straight over the top of my currently installed Realtek and THX? or need to start from scratch?

I installed this driver on my r2. It seems to be running fine so far, about a week or so already.

When you run the installer, it first uninstalls the old driver and asks you to reboot and then install the new driver. Not sure about THX.

I have no evidence other than a "feeling" but it seems that my r2 takes a little longer to boot up after this install. I wonder if there is any connection.
