Got my r2 yesterday, and it's brilliant....well aprt from the optimus issues.

Anyway, I have only played portal and DoWII so far - portal runs perfectly, but DoWII does not let me adjust graphics settings above low/medium for some reason - still plays well at those settings.

Regarding the optimus tool that was posted on here, before I installed the new beta drivers the 335m was idleing all the time browsing windows/internet and kicked 'on' when running portal and DoWII. These new drivers have made a difference and now the 335m is 'off' when doing normal windows browsing, and turns on correctly when running the aforementioned games.

So it seems optimus is mostly working for these two games at least. Maybe battery will live up to expectations now that the 335m is not always idleing!

Yeah, I posted this a little while ago as someone else was having problems with battery life. You can also get the original driver to switch off the nvidia in idle with an addition in registry.

I am finding problems with the beta driver with BFBC2 and COD WOW, i keep getting kicked by punkbuster for multiple D3D drivers :(

And yeah I have the DOW2 issues, I have tried everything to get around it. I even tried changing the config file but it just overwrites it :(

Have you tried setting the config file to read only?

I just got mine yesterday as well.

Tried Lost Planet benchmark and it kept dropping to single digit frames and using the Intel HD graphics. After installing the beta drivers it went ahead and used the 335M.

I tried Dow, Supreme Commander 2, Cod4, BC2 and L4D2 and Section 8. All were playable on medium settings. L4D2 had a strange mouse delay though.

Maybe tonight I'll have some more time to mess around with things.

All in all I'm pleased. I just hope the Optimus thing gets fixed.

I noticed the beta drivers creates a choice in the Nvidia control panel to default to the 335M. Anyone try that?
