Good for those experiencing issues with WOW.
-
Might want to post this in the Networking forum also.

Got a BSOD everytime I want to uninstall my driver since the network manager program cannot be upgraded directly......omg

What am I missing here? The driver package file on their site has the exact same file name as the one I downloaded on October 1. I took a screen shot of the software and driver versions of what was installed on my system currently, then installed the "new" driver and it's exactly the same software version, LSP version and driver version.
I see that they show a modified date of November 3rd for the package, but what exactly is "new" about it?
Having "updated" I now have to re-enter the 15 some-odd security keys that my system had memorized for all of the AP's I regularly join.
Bleh...
EDIT: Here's what I had before "upgrading":
Same versions of everything afterward. -
Looks like they took it down. Glad I saved the file already
Killer1102-1103Setup_6_1_0_213_win7_64bit
Is what mine is called.
PM me your email and I will send it to you. -
They pulled the driver because there are problems with it.
-
I am currently using the newest driver and I am quite happy with it.
Hopefully it's something to do with fixes for WOW or Safari fixes and nothing else. -
If you check their forums there are a few people complaining of constant crashing due to the new drivers.
-
The new download allowed me to overwrite the old driver without having to uninstall it......and get BSOD. Love it!

New drivers out yesterday.

NOTE: You will have to uninstall your existing Killer software before installing this update. Please ensure you SAVE this download - do not run from browser. Killer Wireless-N 1102 and 1103 driver software suite including Killer Network Manager for the Windows 7 64 bit operating system -
it asked me if I wanted to update, sounds like I am glad I said 'no' to that particular prompt.
Saved once again by my motto 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'!
I.e. as my previous driver is working just fine, why should I update and possibly cause problems? -
Those were the last "new" drivers. Buggy as all h3ll, the new ones should work just fine. I am downloading them now, will report back in a bit.
-
Sorry for an off topic question
Where exactly can I find the actual bigfoot card?
Thanks! -
ebay or amazon

I finally updated to the newest version of the bigfoot driver yesterday. I did this because when I first got my machine I was having problems with the bigfoot manager crashing. (odd that it would be that way from the factory... but i guess even alienware messes up sometimes)
Anyways, I had gotten it working on the previous version but due to possible instability problems I decided it may be a good idea to update. I have had no problems with the new driver so far. I did follow the instructions for updating by uninstalling my old bigfoot installation before putting the new one in. -
I had problems with the new bigfoot driver today. Tried a number of fixes but none of them worked. So I rolled back to the previous driver and it started working. It appears there are still some glitches with this newest driver version. At least it would not work properly on my wireless network.
Thought I should list the fixes I tried: Resetting the computer, resetting the network protocols, resetting the router, checked all pertinent configuration information.
More in depth problem description: Limited network connectivity, could not connect to the internet, driver was not properly accepting the automatic ip configuration info from the router, windows 7 told me it was a problem with the bigfoot wireless driver.
The fix that worked: Rolling back the driver to the previous version via a windows restore point I made prior to the new driver install. -
Send in a support ticket to bigfoot, that way they can start working on a fix for that problem.
-
Having issues with Bigfoot drivers and my new R3. What seems to be the working drivers for people? I initially had ones from March installed and kept blue screening with driver errors and have had 1-2 blue screens with the latest drivers. Looking for whatever seems to be stable.
-
I've had so many issues with these bigfoot cards I have started just installing the drivers manualy without the network manager app. I will give it another go with the new drivers. At least they fixed the wow issue which is the main reason i quit using the software.
New drivers out for the bigfoot cards.
