I just purchased a M11x R1 from someone and they had a dual boot with Unbuntu and windows on it. They deleted Unbuntu on it and restored the laptop to factory. Now every time I restart the computer it gives me a boot option for Windows or Unbuntu.

How do I set this so that it only boots to windows and doesn't give a boot option for Unbuntu? Basically just want to remove the boot partition for Unbuntu.

    Any help is appreciated!!

Install ubuntu again along side the factory partition, then you will both have access to all your stuff if the win partition ever fails and you will also get to use the best OS ever created.

He wanted to get rid that niggling screen, not reinstall the darn thing. ;)

What you want to do is remove the GRUB boot loader (I'm assuming that's what ubuntu installed). I'm not sure how to remove it myself, but I did find a couple links for you. Link1 Link2

    Good luck!

Yes I am aware of that, Im just saying why not put both on since they are both brilliant systems...or given his last comment, why not triple boot ubuntu, win, and mac os? Have the best of all worlds...thats what I plan to do :)

I dont wanna go off topic, but this is similar to the question I was about to ask for I figure ill ask here before making a new thread.

Is there any way to delete the recovery partition? It seems to be taking a good chunk of space (10-15gb). I made a usb recovery drive so I have no need for the partition anymore.
