I really don't know, I'm kind of new here, and new in CPU tuning and what not.

Good luck on your quest. ;)

Huge impact in CPU intensive games. Just read the thread linked to above.

If you have an R2, and you want performance increase you would be silly not to use it...plain and simple. I cant think of one post where someone used it and didn't like/love it.

No, unfortunately it is only for the R2, like Unclewebb said a couple posts prior " On the R1, EIST is locked and disabled so there isn't much ThrottleStop can do".

Does throttlestop effect my battery life at all? Like for just daily use?

I have not seen any significant changes on day to day use. If you are worried about it, it's very easy to turn on and off. For example turn it on while you are gaming(which I am assuming you are doing while plugged in anyways) and turn it off while on battery. Also there are 4 customizable profiles you can edit, for example battery, gaming, performance, and internet. If you have any other questions you can read through the thread

If ThrottleStop makes the CPU in your R2 run faster, that can decrease your battery run time.

If you don't want that happening then open up the Options windows in ThrottleStop and select, AC - On, Battery - Off and then push OK. Now whenever you unplug your laptop, ThrottleStop will switch to monitoring mode only and when you plug back in, you are ready to game at full speed. You can also create one profile for AC and another profile when you are on battery power and it will switch back and forth automatically. ThrottleStop lets you take control of your CPU. It's a must have for the R2. If you have any setup issues or questions, just send me a PM.
