Nvidia 262.99 Modded for M11xR2

Hello Adventurers,


Today it's drivers day for our fellow M11xR2 owners to experiment with. Follow by an update to the Intel HD Drivers. Here comes the latest WHQL release dedicated to 580GTX desktop cards. Specially modded with Optimus support for M11xR2 geeks of NBR forum who likes to adventure with the latest and newest techies out there.

The usual disclaimer, use it at your own risk as it does not come with any warranty of any sort neither from me, Dell/Alienware or Nvidia. So dont blame anyone if it makes your computer explode

As usual I have repack the files so simply extract them to a folder then run setup.

Any kind soul who wish to help upload to more links, I am more than happy to update the thread if there's any.

All I know is 262.99 is a number that's getting closer to 265 and PB fix!

I tried out the driver. It worked! but then I got an unknown API kick after about 5 minutes. Thinking this was my disc emulation software I tried using the actual disc. No go. It kicks straight away due to multiple directx loaded.

 

every driver I post I will update the modded thread to consolidate them regardless its Intel Driver or Nvidia mod

 

which game is that? you need to try different games to see result and not just base on one. Also remember this are suppose to be desktop drivers but mod with Optimus support so it can be use with M11xR2. So it may not work with 100% of the stuffs out there. Even official drivers cant give you 100% assurance. But in some scenario some drivers may tend to work better than the other in certain games / apps. So a more in depth test is necessary to determine the driver. I am only responsible on modding them to work. But I cant assure how well they will work since I dont write the drivers.

Lastly one thing I would want to highlight is Optimus is a really tricky thing. Some times there maybe a need to do driver clean up and also manually clear out the updatus and coproc folders before installing the new driver to ensure they work properly. Even official drivers if you dont do clean up it may some times cause weird issue as well

 

This is not verde driver. If you read my post clearly it's the latest WHQL release dedicated to GTX580 desktop card. It does not have any direct support to any other cards. So in order to use this on other cards modding is still necessary. Especially more tricks than just inf modding is necessary to get additional Optimus support in for our laptop.

 

That sounds like a punkbuster problem. Does the game use PB? There won't be a fix for PB until 265.xx (apparently).
