For those of you who ordered m11x r2 bluetooth module, can you see the bluetooth module in device manager???

i didn't notice that the bluetooth is missing until i reinstalled this laptop today to clean out all the junk. i am positive that i selected the optional bluetooth (it's even listed in my order), but for some reason, it's missing...

can someone please check their device manager and get back to me?

    thank you.

Yes, it's listed as bluetooth radio.

I think this might be a Windows 7 feature. I've noticed this on other laptops before, nothing showing up in Device Manager until AFTER you install the device driver. Before you call support and get a dispatch, try loading the bluetooth driver that is posted on support.dell.com. Please let me know what happened.

I remember have read about something in the device manager that you have to change the settings to see all devices....kind of "show all" or "show hidden"....kind of that...try gaming around with the options in the device manager..

    good luck

It's really weird but I saw that mentioned in the thread where people were ordering them and installing them themselves. It's there but it doesn't show until the software is executed. It kinda runs counter to the whole "Plug 'n' Play" hardware installation logic. Not sure why they'd do that.
