So I just placed my order. Upgraded the HDD to 250gb/7200 rpm, 4gb RAM and Bluetooth. Ordered on the phone so got free shipping and $50 off--wouldn't budge any further, but not a bad deal.

    Any thoughts?

I was originally going to wait, but honestly I'm impatient and have read that the improvements could/would lower batter life, and the batter life as it is now is one of the appealing factors.

    Specs are (that I've upgraded):
250gb HDD (not so much for the space, but the speed--cost for upgrade wasn't too bad so bit the bullet here)
    4gb RAM
    Bluetooth 2.1+ module

The ship/build dates are pretty long, but I assume they are just estimates and can be shorter than they state?

Any refresh done to this will probably only be in the CPU area. If Dell decided against ulv i-core CPUs then they are crippling the battery life. If they go ulv then it's not much better. I have the SU7300 that OCs stable at 1.73 and I have yet to go beyond 80% utilization on both cores.

ETAs are really screwed up with Dell. I usually get mine 2 days before my ETA but recently had a Studio 14!! of all things being pushed back a week.

If they don't put any work into it, sure, but it's far from impossible to have great battery life without using a ULV CPU. The Acer TimelineX models are the foremost examples of this.

Which is why a refresh wont be happening any time soon. The m11x just came out 3 months ago lol.
