You can use several programs that report CPU speed such as CPU-z.

Right click my computer, select properties.

    Under system you'll see - Processor Genuine Intel(R) CPU U7300@ 1.30GHz.

If it's overclocked, next to the 1.30 GHz you'll see 1.73GHz.

This of course is for the R1, you didn't say which model you have.

Give ThrottleStop a try. It is a necessity when overclocking an R2 to 166 MHz in the bios.

If you don't use it, your CPU can end up running slower.

The Supercharge thread is a great place to learn about maximizing the performance of any R2 so head to the first page after reading that post. Lots of good info in there. :)

If you try to immediately overclock to 166 MHz in the bios, it may not stick and the R2 might ignore your request and boot up at the default value of 133 MHz.

If you did this then you definitely did something wrong due to the i5 only being allowed to OC to 166. Hopefully that was just a typo, otherwise GET WORRYING!
