    I bought the mini card to usb adapter from amazon Amazon.com: PM3U (MiniCard to USB2.0 Adapter): Everything Else and I installed it in the extra slot and plugged in a wireless mouse but it doesnt seem to recognize it. It wont work. Is there a setting I have to change or add or anything I can do to get it to work? Thanks

    I also bought a PM3U a year ago for my mouse receiver and it has been working in my R1 with no problems at all, and I didn't have to do anything speciall, just plug and play. The only thing I noticed is a small decrease of the receiving distance, but nothing really annoying.

    Mine worked right out of the box. Try plugging somethign else into it and see if anything happens.

    Go into the device manager and try deleting then reinstalling the drivers for it also.

    thanks for the replies and im sorry for the post links with referral tags! I don't even know what that is lol I didn't do it on purpose.

    I tried putting the card in the first slot where the wan card is and it still did not work. Im thinking I got a broken one or something. But you said to re-install drivers for it?? When it started up after the first time installing it, it never asked for drivers or never tried installing them. Is there a place to get them or am i missing something? I thought windows would automatically recognize the card and install drivers. I looked under device manager and couldn't find anything for it.

    hmm, try taping off pin 20 on the card. its on the bottom of the card. I used to have a diagram, but I cant find it.

    I have the m11x r3 for reference. IDK if that matters. I read online that the second port has to be turned on in bios but i looked through the bios and couldnt find anything to turn on.

    Try pushing and holding down the wifi on/off switch button fn + f3 I think. When you push and hold this it will bring up a screen to select what radios you want to turn on (wifi, wwan, bluetooth) You may have those boxes greyed out though when you do it. But try to click the wwan to "on"

    thanks I tried that and i got wifi on, checked already. Bluetooth on, already checked, and grayed out, is mobile broadband on. it doesn't allow me to ck it.

    ok, I may have to get back to you on this when I am around my m11x.

    One thing, this mod could very well not work on the r3 models. I know some people were having issues getting the mr15 (dual micro sd card board) to work on the r3. It had something to do with the r3 pcie slot not reading as usb power.

    ok thanks alot. I will also try doing more research and seeing if that is true about the pcie slot not reading usb power. Hopefully that is not the case.
