The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Now that we are on the 3rd generation of the M11X - to help keep the forums more organized, and for easier troubleshooting, searching, etc..

Can we please have the forums reorganized? Preferably before they get fired up like crazy when the R3 actually ships?

    Here is my idea -

M11X [Archive + General Discussion] for all previous threads to date.
    M11X R1 Discussion
    M11X R2 Discussion
    M11X R3 Discussion

What about threads that cover R1, R2 and R3 like VBIOS mods? Or a combination of two?

Since the M11x subforum already exists... "Yo dawg, I heard you like sub forums so I put sub forums in your sub forums so you can read sub forums while you read sub forums"

Realize that most people outside these forums don't know about the different revisions of the M11x.
Following this, people would be asking for M17x subforums for R2, R3, etc. - one thing leads to another. Forums with too many subforums aren't intuitive.

    I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless.

Ha that got me laughing DavyGT.

    General discussion area maybe?

    I can see both sides - that's why I made a poll.

Maybe then if people consistently tag their post in the thread title. I don't know! Just thinking.

I think just putting the revision number in the thread title will be the way to go. We have survived this way in the M17x "sub-forum" for some time now ;)

Agreed. Forum structure will remain the same. In the end its up to the thread creator - adding an R1, R2, R3 tag to the thread title does help. I typically will do this if the op does not however myself and the rest of the mod team will not be able to catch all of them. We still have folks who post a model specific question in the main AW forum.
