    Hi

    I've been going through the forums for a while now and I am thinking of overhauling my R2. Mainly to put in a R3 i7 motherboard which I think it has been suggested that it's possible.

    Has anyone actually attempted this yet and also has anyone manage to locate parts for it?

    No parts are ready yet for this swap. r2 motherboards just hit ebay not too long ago (still not easy to find on there) and those are selling for 220-300 bucks.

    Your better off selling your r2 and buying a r3 outright.

    I have to agree with eJohnson on this one - better to sell your R2 and just buy an R3.
