Hello, I recently received my M11xR2. I was hoping to use it to play games such as starcraft 2. From what I have read on forums such as this one, Most people can easily run starcraft 2 on high or even ultra graphics settings using this machine. Currently, my system runs at around 10 fps in a single player game of starcraft 2 on normal graphics settings, and it runs fine on low graphics settings. I have already set the game to be run by the "High-Performance NVIDIA processor" under the nvidia control panel, however this did not improve performance by any noticable amount. Does anyone have any suggestions that could improve my performace?

I should probably mention that in larger games of Warcraft 3, a much older game, even on the lowest graphics settings I suffered from a terrible frame rate aswell.

    Model: Alienware M11XR2
    Processor: Inter(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU U 520 @1.07 GHz 1.07 GHz
    RAM: 4.00 (3.80 GB usable)
    System type: 64-bit Operating system

    Thanks.

I had a similar issue with SC2. Started up the game and it detected my settings at LOW. Once I installed the 258.96 Drivers the game autodetected my settings at HIGH/MEDIUM and I have since tweaked most setting to HIGH.

    I recommend the driver update.

yup i was getting like 7-10fps with the stock drivers on starcraft. Upgraded the driver and now getting 40-50 with the same high settings

I had already tried the whitelisting thing with no sucess, however downloading the newer driver greatly increased performance. Thanks.
