In both the Titanfall video and my BF 4 video I'm getting a steady 35-50 FPS. BUT -- every 7-10 seconds the frames drop completely to zero. I'm not sure if it's the standard spinning HDD -- but this is only happening on Origin games.

I'm uploading my titanfall video now.

1TB standard HDD -- I think I just need to get rid of it. I'm almost positive it's the HDD now.

I am just installing both now and will test. I also have the 1tb hdd. Will also be putting an ssd in later today too.

Oh and did you disable the origin overlay? that often causes problems

What settings are you using on BF4 to get 35-50fps?

Is that 35-50 fps with the high res panel or the lower 13xx panel?

I saw something about massive frame drops with the Alienware Alpha running Origin games and the person said they disabled Origin Overlay and it fixed the issue. Go to Application Settings>Origin In Game and then uncheck "Enable Origin In Game".
