I've just connected my m11x to an external monitor via HDMI and get no sound. Now i'm guessing this is because HDMI is a display and audio cable. So how can I still get audio from my m11x while connected to an external monitor?

EDIT: Yes I missed the 'i' in obvious on the title.

1)Click once on the tiny speaker icon on the bottom right of the task bar.
    2) When the pop up window volume window comes up, click once in the speakers icon at the top of the volume slider.
3)On the speakers properties window that pops up, under the generak Tab, at the bottom, "Device usage" - I think you click if you want to 'Use this device' or not.

If the above does not help, play around with the tabs in this Speakers properties window...

    Hope this helps.

Awesome, thank you. I clicked the monitor icon on my sound properties and just clicked disable, very obvious :p.

    +1'd.
