    Howdy gents;

    I've been fascinated recently with the 11x and had a couple questions about it for you.

    How is the keyboard size? quality? I know an 11" laptop usually isn't used as a primary, but I'm looking for something small enough I can tuck away in a messenger bag or curl up on the couch in the basement and hide from the wife and kid to get a few hours of Fallout on. :p With that said, does the keyboard handle semi-heavy use ok? Is it small/reduced like a netbook keyboard or is it almost full size? What's the compromise on it?

    Secondly, since it's geared as a gaming laptop, how difficult is it to actually play some games on a screen of that size? I know it falls into a 'preference' thing, but I typically prefer small laptops as it is (normally used 13"ers) but will I be asking for a migraine after a couple hours of gaming on something that small?

    thirdly, how is the battery life?

    Thanks all. I appreciate the feedback.

    The entire keyboard is 28cm across. The average key (qwerty1234 etc.) is 1.65cm across and 1.88cm tall (they are nod square). I find that I never have too muck trouble typing on it, but I'm the kind of person who types with four fingers (pointer and middle), I'd say I type at average speed. Hope this helps for your keyboard questions.

    As for the screen size, I've never had a headache from it, but I typically don't use the computer more than 3 hours at a time ever. Gaming on the small screen is fine for me, I'm used to smaller screens from Nintendo DS, and Sony PSP. I find that all the games I play on it look good on the native resolution.

    Battery life for me is 4.5 hours wifi on, at medium brightness. As I said before I typically don't use a computer more than 3 hours at a time, so Iv'e never really fiddled with all the power settings to get every second out of it like some people do.

    i use mine for sometimes 7-8 hours a time (eve online mostly), and i have no issues with the keyboard,

    the only real game i found the screen to be a disadvantage on is the total war series, but the text is small on my desktop screen as well

    all you have to be aware of is, it is a machine that you can lug around and play games on decently. its not a uber gaming machine. some things you may have to scrimp on sometimes, but the sheer joy of being able to do so and look cool doing it offsets that little annoyance.

    Honestly it's really just preference, I went straight from a desktop keyboard to the m11x keyboard. It just gets getting used to, same with the screen.

    Disadvantage about the screen is that there's less surface area to work on if you do any photoshop or design stuff. In general games just adjust via res anyways so it wont make a difference.

    I know what you mean - I got a 9" EeePC and the keyboard was tiny. No, i would actually classify this as a "full" keyboard, the keys are close together but the key size is the same as any other keyboard, and it lacks a numpad obviously.

    I have no problems with the screen size, but i just picked up a 42" Panasonic Viera plasma yesterday i've hooked it up to with HDMI. Very happy.

    I use it as my primary, excellent device it is! Playing Dead Island on high with the beta drivers. I sometimes use it for one hour other times 7, have never gotten a headache. I have small-ish fingers and I don't get cramps or anything from the keyboard.

    I think the concern here is can it take the punishment if your hand gets heavy while in the midst of battle. I cant say as I usually have ext kb connected. If it matters you don't read too many complaints about the KB from abuse pov or from size

    The keyboard can take some abuse, when I wipe it down i have a habit of pressing down pretty hard and no problems in 9 months. also, I type alot of papers on mine with no problem whosoever. But I use mine as my primary, screen size is no problem, battery life while gaming would be about 2 hours and upwards of 6 when you are just browsing. Overall, LOVE IT!
