I recently purchased an alienware m11x from the states (I live in Canada) that had been used for two weeks. The system arrived and is fine. I was wondering if I am still covered under the first year warranty, since it is between countries.

If not, anyway has anyone had any experience with square trade?

    thanks

Call Alienware (not Dell). The standard warranty of all alienware machines has worldwide coverage, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure what to tell you about the ownership transfer beyond giving Dellienware a call.

As for Square Trade, there are a couple of threads on their warranties vs Dell's.
