I was wondering if other recent R3 owners are getting the standard power brick that looks like the one shipped with the original R1? I thought the R3s ship with the slim adapter with the rubber strap and the blue light at the tip when connected? Am I imagining this?

Okay. Switching subjects- I have excellent signal strength with my wifi connection, yet IE 9 is slow as crap. Is this normal? It says it will take 10 hours to download MS Essentials, yet my iPad is blazing through web pages right next to my m11x.

Yeah, I don't know if I read someone's post who mentioned they got a slim power brick. I guess I can peruse ebay for a deal on one. I wish Alienware would make a power brick similar to Apple's adapter. It almost makes having a small portable gaming machine irrelevant when you have to find a bag big enough to hold the notebook and a huge power brick (compared to what I am used to using with my Macbook). Still, I love this machine... and I haven't even gamed on it yet due to installing a bunch of crap and games.

I got the big brick too. I saw an option when checking out to upgrade to the slim brick, but it was $45-ish more expensive. So I'm pretty sure the big brick is standard.
