Hello everybody, I have finally recieved my m11x and I am very very happy with it. However aliensense is apparently missing despite being heavily advertised, can anyone help me with that? Also I am downloading all my games on steams and have installed the latest nvidia video drivers, should I be able to properly play the games through optimis automatically? Also my old charger isn't working, I am returning back to China soon and I want to know if it is charger specific or something because I am recieving problems regarding this and need to know if I need to solve the problem
IN A NUTSHELL
1) Can't find aliensense
2) Should optimis work automatically after downloading latest nvidia drives
3) Charger specific?
Thanks, I am a new member to this forum and hope for the best here!
Also are there any problems that I should look for with this model? thanks again!

He said R3 in the thread title.
1) Its part of command center. You can download it off of drivers and download
2) Yes.
3) Charger - I don't know. -

@M11x ftw
haha no problem
@Deevu
I checked command center and it is not there, where can I find the drivers and download? -
Sorry about the delayed response, hopefully you've got it by now - Go to the search dell drivers and downloads (you can search into google and its the first link) and look up your computer. Its step by step and then under application download command center.

I've gone through the thing successfully but I can't locate aliensense :S -

Installed bios version AO3 from AO2, nothing happened.

Alien sense is in the command center. I think its the last tab.

I like I said, no aliensense on my m11x r3 still. What gives?

All the darn thing did was downgrade my bios to a unusable piece of ... And still no aliensense. Any proper methods of installing aliensense?

Whats the latest alienware m11x r3 bios update? And where can I find it? Dell drivers screwed me up
-
AO3 is the latest. I do not think they have posted it yet.
I do not know what to tell you about AS if you do not see it in CC -
SCratch that I just looked and I do not think the R3 has support for aliensense at least in the command center

Well how do I go back to AO3?
Im very unhappy that I have downgraded >=( -
I do not know about that. Wait until they release it to the public?

It is ty, it crashes constantly and is less reliable for me.
Anyway thanks for trying, although I appreciate it I am pissed none the less at how dell isn't providing the bios I want. Now I have 2 problems -
I would recommend calling Dell Customer Service. They probably have the AO3 bios on some server.
Why do you need alien sense? Isnt that just facial recognition log in? -

I just want the feature alot
-
Its a huge resource hog. Can take up 5fps in some cases.
-
I am trying something out to see if it works. I'll report back. I'm trying the R2 Command Center. Ill let you know how it goes.
edit: Unfortunately it does not work. -
There is a workaround for installing aliensense. although i haven't tested it yet. it is posted here in this link

Nice find
hope it works for you
-
haha actually this is for the OP.. i don't actually feel the need to use the feature so I'm not willing to go through the hassle.
-

I am in the same situation as the guy who said
"
Wouldnt allow me to do a repair, due to a serious technical problem of it not finding the correct .msi file.
Ended up doing an uninstall instead of repair, then installed it...
But the conclusion is that Command Center works
and AlienSense works as well logged me into the pc with it.
Thanks so much for the workout, it may not be the prettiest way to get it done, but damn did it get it done!
+REP
EDIT:
"sorry the application aliensense can not be launched. Would you like to continue loading Command Center?"
Added this quote, although aliensense logs me into the computer.. I cannot actually configure it
Not a big problem, I just wont configure it
Although I cannot load it up to change anything if I had to lol"
How do I do this entire process without bringing more problems? What do I uninstall and install? -

I just need to know how to uninstall what I have currently and install what I need to install
