Anyone have some FPS+ tips?

lower the res?
-
Enable that overclock?
-
i think he means config optimizations, theres ways to make the game run better without changing a bunch of settings. mods to inf settings, etc.
-
Run in DX9 mode. Use native 1360x768 screen size if Crysis 1.0 has it.
-
for some reason i thought this was for crysis 2 LOLs
-
I second this.

^ This.
Personally, I notice virtually zero difference between DX9 and DX10, at least not enough to justify the 5-10 fps hit that the latter takes versus the former. Google Triple C Pack for a user-created visual tweak program. Use the level 3 or 4 setting. The game still looks good but will also add a few fps. -
Google CCC Crysis config.
It is a program that both massively improves the optimization of Crysis (and Warhead) and allows for different configs to be set (a CFG file is automatically produced for you - this can be further tweaked).
The folder also contains lots of detail on what each line of the config actually does so you can tweak to your hearts content.
Overall in Warhead I have found that the CCC config (v3.1) allows for approx Gamer visuals at Mainstream performance.
Generally speaking though the 335m is the weak point in Crysis. Even with a hefty overclock framerates will still be low. The 335m is simply not powerful enough in the grand scheme of things to expect great peformance all of the time. -
He already ran Crysis with that overclock. 7 FPS gain is massive when the game is running in the 20-30's and ultra high, with that 56% overclock on core alone. Too bad he has no screens to prove but now you know...

Crysis 1 runs perfectly on r1 with native res and high settings. You just need to use 64bit exe and run in dx9 mode.

is 64-bit possible if you bought it through steam?
-
Ultra high settings on a 335m? Even with such an overclock that will be a slideshow. "Very high" shadows alone would cripple the 335m overclocked 56% or not.
There will be a point where the core overclock will provide no noticable gains especially as the 335m is generally lacking in memory bandwidth.
When doing my own testing I found that clocking to 585Mhz (the highest Crysis stable OC I could attain) netted around 4FPS at medium settings but the game was still only barely playable unless the shadows were heavily tweaked. -
thats pretty funny, i run ultra on everything but shadows. memory clock makes the biggest difference, and im stable at 920 mhz. iv never had the game be a slide show, or even slightly lag besides everything loading

Nope. And if I'd have known, I would have kept my CD copy. If it wasn't during a Steam sale when I bought it (got the complete pack including Wars and Warhead for like $11), I'd really be annoyed. -
Well this is bad news, I bought the game through steam, so no 64-bit? Also I tried the Triple CFG, they made my performance lower. Also, I am not going to apply my best OC for this game. Even if I run the game in DX9 mode it ALWAYS gets under 24FPS if there's a huge building in front of me and at least 9 NK units and a vehicle. I couldn't care less about shadows because in any game I turn them off. Also lowering Physics and Res is a must not for me.
-
Shame... that OC is exactly what you need to crack 30FPS.
-
Gave it another try
I get a nice 46FPS with few deep dips but the game feels like its running at 20FPS. I would love to give some screenshots, only if I had a camera.
