I have had my R1 for a few weeks now and notice that sometimes IE will have a flickering/flashing effect as I move my mouse over images in the web page. Closing and restarting IE fixes the problem. Not sure what causes it and does not happen all the time. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I did a quick search but could not find anything.

You need to install the video drivers from the dell website for:

    1.) the integrated graphics
    and
    2.) the geforce 335m

I knew this answer was coming. I prefer chrome for most things, just have not installed it yet

I would install a different browser. Not due to a dislike for MS or anything like that. IE8 caused blue screens on my m11x. I would seriously consider another browser.

    Best wishes,

    Stevenx

There's nothing that IE can do better than chrome or firefox can do.. so I don't see why you'd be using it to be honest. No excuse! lol ;D
