Why are some people saying the su7300 is 1.73Ghz overclocked? I OC mine in bios ( dell's free OC enabled ) and CPU-z says it's running at 1.6Ghz

Loads of threads and arguments on this issue. It was advertised at one time by Dell/Alienware as 1.73. Then it was removed. The newest release of cpu-z, should show it at 1.73. Either way it's just a number and it doesn't change how a game performs. It's up to you if you want to pursue it further but personally I let it go a while back. In my mind, it's 1.73. Multiplier 6.5 times 266 = 1.729 (or close enough). Others might say it's actually 6 x 266...

    Take Care, StevenX

Ok thanks for shedding some light on it. I was a little confused and couldn't find much on it.
