Can you please post an image of the cable??

NVidia GT335M doesn't support TV- OUT.
I mean you cannot connect it to Composite Video...

You need a converter box that actually converts the vga signal to a video or component signal. Something like the cable you bought only works when a vga port was designed to also do a video signal with no conversion taking place, and I'm pretty sure the M11x doesn't have that feature unfortunately.

This is an example of a converter box. I'm sure there are other cheaper ones though. Do you have an hdtv? It sounds like you are trying to hook it up to an sdtv. If you are trying to use an sdtv as a monitor, you won't like the results. It will look horrible unless you are watching a movie or maybe playing a game.

Oh no, Just like I said it doesn't support.
Nvidia Cards doesn't send RCA Signals through VGA port...

And I think that neither the Intel 4500HD...
Does Intel GMA 4500MHD have tv-out...: Intel Communities

    You should have read this:
Before place the bid, please be sure to check the manual of your system to make sure the Video Card of your system supports TV (RCA/S-Video) output through VGA port. Not every Video card will work with this adaptor. Only certain Video cards which have TV Output function built into VGA port will work through this adaptor.

    Really old "TV" aye.

The VGA to active RCA converter will probably cost more than replacing the TV with a cheap LCD TV/Monitor.

Treat yourself and buy a LCD TV/Monitor with an HDMI port and forget about the Composite/S-video analogue rubbish(which still requires additional audio cables).

Pay it forward. Don't pay it backwards.

Watching the Avatar DVD on my M11xR1 using VGA port to LCD HD-TV (1366x768) via TV's VGA port while using Integrated Intel GPU.

It looks OK.. sort of :)

i did read that part in the auction description, unfortunately i couldnt find any information on whether it would work or not so i just went ahead and bought it. cost me less than half of what i would spend on lunch so the loss doesnt bother me. just needed a solid yes or no if it would work. thanks for the info. and im saving up for a new tv, was just hoping this could hold me over for a bit
