I have the EVGA tool but I can never seem to get any increase in performance. What do you guys use?

Another question related to the GPU overclock,
Which program has the highest overclocking limits? Since I am stable in MSI, EVGA and nvidia (Core clock in MSI and shader clock in EVGA and nvidia).

I tend to use MSI afterburner and not had any problems with it.

what's the best nvidia driver to overclock the gt335m? I always get a BSOD with "nvldmkm.sys" when running crysis benchmark even with the slighest overclock. I was running 270.61 and now i downgrade to 270.51 beta and still getting bsod. Something must be wrong because testing with OCCT or 3d mark gives me no error with clocks higher as 560/1344/870. I can run BC2 with 540/1296/870 too, but i got crashes in other games like crysis, assassins creed 2 and kane and lynch 2. I cant tell if this "nvldmkm.sys" is a driver issue or hardware. Anyone could help?

i'm getting bsod at crysis benchmark with 500/1200/790. There is no point in overclocking lower than this so i did not try. What's the point of occt and 3d mark if they say im stable in 560 core? And how come Bad company 2 runs fine with 540/1296/870 ? im just pissed of....

I had the same issue with the 270.xx drivers. Small increases would give me a blue screen and the report would mention that driver. I went back down to the 260.99 drivers and can overclock higher and I don't get that crash anymore.

Ok, thanks. I tried with 275.27 and still getting bsod in crysis benchmark. So I think i'll have to try 260.99... Hope it works.

The 335m in the R2 hates shader overclocking, that could be the cause of the BSOD's.
In most games you won't see much of a performance improvment since the cpu is what is holding you back in most cases.

No, most games will see an improvement from overclocking the GPU (quite a significant amount of frames in some games) as most games are GPU dependant.
For example, in BFBC2, I have similiar frame rates in both low and medium settings, which is due to the CPU limiting the frame rate (still around 50 fps). However, turn the settings to high and the GPU will be the limiting factor.

Yes, my gt335m hates shader overclock, doesnt get more than 1130, but i've seen people with numbers up to 1400. I'll try the old driver 260.99 since i've read that a lot of people get this nvldd....sys bsod with 270 series. I'll try now and get back here.

No, definitely the cpu is not bottlenecked. Maybe in older games only. The gpu overclock can give me a 6 fps boost in average in BC2 for example (even with the low clocks that i'm getting). CPU usage stays in 25%. And GPU usage is 99%.

Good news. Now we have 275.33 WHQL. I'll try 260.99 before to see if i can overclock my gt335m further with the older drivers without gettting that nvlddmkm.sys bsod anyway.

I'm just wonder if those people who are overclocking the gt335m up to 560/1300 can run 99 loops of crysis benchmark.... And are they using the new nvidia drivers?

Here is what i found out!

    I have a crappy gt335m.

I installed the 260.99 driver and run a 20 loop crysis benchmark with 540/1200/870. Guess what? I didn't got a nvlddmkm.sys bsod on my face. Instead, my system just froze and i had to hard reset.

So, the nvlddmkm.sys bsod is related to the 270 series driver, but is not a bad thing, it only happens when you overclock too high or if you are having hardware problems, and then you just dont need to do a hard reset.

Now i'm installing the newest 275.33 driver and staying with my most stable overclock so far of only 520/1130/870. Guess that there is nothing else to do... Maybe that volt mod...

I run at 600/1440/948 completely stable.
Overclocking gives me huge fps (10-20 fps) increases on all games, but especially racing games like DIRT 3.
Interesting that some say the shader clock is what limits the OC.
I have always left core + shader linked. Maybe i can get more core OC if i unlink them.
    I use EVGA btw.
