About 2 months ago, Dell replaced the LCD on my R2 - the entire thing. In addition to the screen appearing much sharper, would the new screen have automatically addressed the hinge issue with some r1 and r2s, or is it just hit or miss depending on which panel they decided to send the tech. Thanks

I got mine changed last week and stright away i noticed a difference in the quality... the low lights are lower the brightest setting is brighter and the viewing angles are much larger... only thing i didnt like was that the color of the lid itself is slightly different from the original. its not a majour thing just a little bit peeved... i think i read somewhere that these are R3 tops cause they arent actually making R1s and R2s anymore
