I'm about to bring back to life an R2, have the HDD caddy, but do not have the right angled sata connector. Does this part have a part number? Is it proprietary to this laptop? I'm hoping it's a standard part and that i'm just not searching using the correct terms. From my other R2 it just says "foxconn" on it, no pn.

Well, I've been looking on NewEgg, and it looks like I can find plenty of the SATA connector, but none for the power. I find a ton of power to molex, though. So it looks like your problem is indeed crazy. Hopefully those pics will give someone an idea.

    Have you PMed ejohnson?

Are you referring to the interposer?

If so, the part number you should look for is CP76J.

And to answer my initial question...it is a proprietary part, and of course...expensive: lists for $40 ;[ So be sure to keep it with the hdd tray if you part one of these guys out.
