I am wondering why my R2's WEI is so low for Graphics: Desktop performance for Windows Aero.
The following is my Windows Experience Index:

    Processor: 5.8
    Memory (RAM): 5.8
    Graphics: 3.6
    Gaming Graphics: 6.5
    Primary Hard Disk: 5.9

Anyone know how to raise the score for Graphics: Desktop performance for Windows Aero?

is it basing the score on the integrated chipset and not the 335m?

Correct, tbh I really would not bother with WEI.

Your scores look absolutely correct. There is nothing wrong. The Graphics - Desktop rating is using the Intel HD Graphics GPU. And the combined overall WEI score is based off of the lowest of the sub-category WEI scores. So, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your scores. They look absolutely fine.

You technically COULD raise the Windows Desktop Graphics score by forcing your computer to use the nVidia 335M GPU all the time, and setting it to never use the Intel HD Graphics GPU. But you DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS. You will actually do more harm that good, because it will kill your battery life. You will get absolutely no real-world benefit from doing this, either. The only difference that doing this will make is that it will raise an arbitrary WEI score so that you feel better.

Again, there is nothing wrong with your scores. They look fine. Don't change a single thing. Making any change just so you can have the satisfaction of a higher WEI score will actually be severely detrimental to your laptop's battery life.

    Thanks for all the information.
I am glad that there is nothing wrong with my Windows Experience Index scores.
I thought it was too low even for the Intel HD Graphics GPU !

    Lol...no, it's not. My one's 2.9.

Which is why WEI is useless to me. Different people get different scores for the same hardware.

well, if ppl are overclocking the CPUs and GPUs, using different brands of drives over the stock drives (even stock drives will vary between the each other), using SSD over platter drives would give different scores.

I have yet to find a way to use the 335M to accelerate the Aero Desktop on the R2, if you know a way please tell us.

It is because m11x r1 doesn't use Nvidia Optimus feature.

    Mine:

    Processor: 6.1
    Memory (RAM): 5.9
    Graphics: 3.3
    Gaming Graphics: 6.5
    Primary Hard Disk: 5.9

Why do some people have higher Graphics scores? I actually used to have 2.9 but I updated to the latest dirver and I got 3.3, but some people has 3.7? Does the SSD has to do with that?

Drives have zero impact on graphics score. There's naturally going to be some variation from one system to another as well as with different drivers. People need to stop obsessing over WEI scores. They're not terribly useful.
