I published this Q before but got just 1 response so i rephrased the question![]()
After my latest purchase of an M11x R2 and doing some performance tests i do see a big difference between my own WEI score and an older score published in a review a year ago. (see picture and link)

My question is; what is causing the HD graphics to perform so much better in the same machine model after a year?
Is it a firmware update or has Nvidia changed something in their optimus?

2) The performance for the Intel HD Graphics chip is irrelevant, because you don't use that chip for anything that requires performance anyway. The most intensive thing that chip is used for is decoding video playback.
That Intel HD Graphics chip could have a WEI of 3.0, or 5,681.0, and it still wouldn't matter, as long as it is fast enough to decode video playback
