    Hello.
It's been a while since the latest 266.58 drivers came out and I've been wondering if there are others with the same problems I've been having. If I install any drivers other than the default drivers from the Dell site or 260.99, my games on Steam have issues with detecting my hardware (i.e. Shader settings cannot be put to high as if I don't have DirectX9). Others games seem to be working fine but it's just that Source games like L4D2, TF2, or CS:S crash if I change the settings to all high (which was possible on the two stable drivers I mentioned earlier). I tried to search up this issue before I created this thread and it seems that at least a small number of people are experiencing the same problems that I am facing but without a solution. I'm currently sticking with the 260.99 drivers but I can't play any games using Punkbuster in this state. Anyone able to help me (and potential others) on this issue? Thanks in advance.

    (My Model: M11xR2 i5)

I am also looking for working drivers..
When using 266.44 the whole system freezes after about 10 Minutes of BFBC2.
Where can I get the 266.58? Is it okay to get them straight from the nvidia website?

You just described my situation exactly. the newest 266.58 drivers that I got from the nvidia site mess with Left 4 Dead 1 & 2... causing "white guns" and lots of crashes. Like you said, the only way to fix this is to reduce shaders to medium.

266.58 also causes Starcraft II to freeze, where it works fine on 260.99. I'm currently using the 260.99 drivers, and exactly like you said, the punkbuster issue makes playing online in Bad Company 2 impossible. On top of that, the 260.99 drivers have some quirk that makes antialiasing not work (dunno if you've noticed this) and if you have antialiasing enabled, it will produce a black screen when you try to start the application.

I'm waiting for nvidia to release some new drivers before I even think of changing from 260.99

OK, so from what I am hearing the 266.58 are having major issues 260.99 has minor issues but has better compatibility.....is this a correct?

266.58 gave my r2 a lot of trouble, and made eve online unplayable.

This is dependent a lot on what games you are running... some may have more less performance for a given game even. In general, one could argue "the best" is the latest official one from Dellienware I would think. It would be no fun to stop there though :D
