Got an R3, woo! Came with a 750gb hdd, and I want to install an ocz agility 3 sata III ssd. The first time around, the drive was detected, OS installed very quickly, and booted into windows. On reboot, no splash screen, just a constantly rebooting post screen (with the alien head).

Tried a number of tricks, updated the bios to A04 (on an OS install before I rebooted), and still acting the same way. I now get "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing" error, and have tried loading every .inf from teh Q67 chipset driver from the dell site, still no success. The drive works fine in another system (an R2, actually).

    Any advice?

Surely people have noticed that the forum has been completely and utterly FUBAR over the past fortnight... Triple postings, blank posts/threads, posts disappearing and re-arranging... It's happening to almost everyone.

ahh, good. happy it wasn't just me. tried with two browsers, and didn't seem to get the thread posted with each one. I'm sorted on the issue now. Not sure how or why, but eventually was able to get the drive to recognize.
