So I've reinstalled windows, and I have 2 driver issues when I go to the device manager.

    Other devices
---- Unkown device (yellow exclamation point)

    The hardware ID is

    ACPI\CPL0002
    *CPL0002

    Next up:

    Sound, Video, Game controllers
---- High Definition Audio Device (yellow exclamation point)
I have the Nvidia HD audio driver installed which installs itself w/ the NVIDIA video package. I also installed the correct Realtek audio driver, which shows it's working properly right underneath the nonworking device.

Any help would be much appreciated.

most likely it could be the intel HD audio: do you have the creative audio drivers installed?

ok, there's the realtek driver, the nvidia driver, and since you have those installed then it must be the intel HD audio driver. you'll need to install the intel video drivers again as those contain the audio driver and I am most certain that it's the intel audio.

does "Intel Display Audio" appear in your device manager?

I think you have to use the dell version of the realtek driver to work with the creative. Unsure.

I have tried the realtek from dell site as well the one came with the laptop. Also wondering if there is there a specific order i need the drivers installed as there are:

    1) Realtek
    2) Intel HD Audio
    3) Nvedia HD Audio
    4) Creative sound blaster x-fi (optional for $20)

I tend to lose my realtek everytime I restart, and the creative console launch comes up as no device found.

    Thanks in advance,
