Anyone know any good places that sell replacement screens for the M11x R3? I took a look around eBay and didn't really find much. Thanks!

Do you want just the LCD itself or the entire assembly, minus the back cover? Replacing the LCD can be a little tricky due to the housing it's in. Did your LCD break or are you just wanting something a bit better?

Want to replace the whole thing. Bought laptop from someone used. Back cover has some scratches and nicks and there is a couple of scratches on the plastic screen I am assuming came from the keyboard. Screen still works fine though.

Looked up the LCD's on Dell.com. They run for $279.99. Any cheaper alternatives or is that the only route?

Look for dead systems to cabbage parts from if unable to source one. The key marks on screen MIGHT not be scratches... try again! If can be cleaned then its just the outside - which can be ignored or even painted as a project and save you $

Marks on the screen are definitely scratches. If only someone could paint my laptop and replace the plastic screen for me. That would be just dandy :)

If the pressed position is below the face of the bottom bezel then its unlikely to be a full on scratch caused by keys. I suppose if enough movement it could rub some marks - if so, I would be tempted to polish them out if really bothersome.

I and some others added larger rubber bumpers to space the screen out. I didn't do it for screen marks though... I did it to take the tension off the hinge. For kb I use a rubber kb cover to keep the keys clean (also prevents marks).

that sucks. You should be able to find a new one... if you do, note that some add a felt cloth or screen wipe on the keys when closed. Some shops even carry them (cheap).

I had to replace my screen for my MX11 a few weeks ago because it cracked and would not work anymore. The best prices and best customer reviews all pointed me to Laptopscreen.com

I purchased my LCD for M11x here (they also sell MX11 R3 screens) Dell ALIENWARE M11XR3 replacement Laptop LCD Screen from $59.99 Brand-new screens (never used).

The LCD cost $59.99+Shipping(took only 2 days to receive it) The quality of screen is EXACTLY the same of the one that came with my M11x from Dell.

It took me a about 30 mins to remove old and replace with new LCD screen, the bezel is the trickiest part because too much pressure while removing it can break or crack it.

well ive removed the front screen on my m11x so many times because when dell put the new screen it had dust i just didn't want to bother sending my laptop out for fix again double sticky tape isn't so hard and i found out how not to get lit inside the screen it just sux that it got scratched but if its that cheap i might look into it.. all i want is the front piece sell the rest of the parts ebay or something but man..

i went to the website its only showing the lcd screen not the front cover at all so im not talking about the lcd monitor im talking about the front clear that protects the screen
