I recently just used the install disc that came with my Alienware m11x. I have the R2 with i7. I had a bad virus that I couldn't shake so I decided to use the windows disc that came with it. I'm not computer savvy at all. I now cannot get on the internet without directly plugging into an ethernet cable, as well as not be able to play any of the games I was playing, The witcher, Warcraft 3 and HoN. It says minimum requirements not met when playing those games. I assume this all this has to do with not having any drivers downloaded but I'm not sure how to get the right ones I need. Ideally I'm wondering if there is anyway I can just revert to the factory settings as it was when I first got it. Thanks a lot, RJ

I don't own a m11x r2 mine is r1 but to reinstall everything I use the dell drivers and support page

this is the link for the r2 drivers on the dell page.

You need to install each of the drivers for the wifi card, the graphics card, the sound card, the intel graphics, and the rest.

It would be easiest to visit the dell drivers and downloads page and search for your m11x. After you do that you should be able to find all your drivers. DOwnload them and install them with restarts inbetween if prompted. After that you should be good to go.

(Drivers control the hardware so if you dont have them then you won't be able to make use of all the graphics or wifi capabilities)

    Best of Luck,
    Deevu

Thanks for all the replies! Those drivers look like they're just what I wanted. Only prblem is actually downloading the drivers? I downloaded the dell download manager but I can't seem to download them? It says theirs nothing in the download box? I also added all of them to the download list and clicked download but no luck? I'm going to bring my computer to a friend in a couple hours, they're pretty good at computers so hopefully they can figure it out. Thanks for the replies though the drivers seem like they can return my computer to factory settings!!!
    Thanks

I went through this not too long ago because of viruses its really long and painful process. you have to download each driver individually through the browser and then install each of them indiviually.

it takes time but your computer will be back to its "normal" state

    good luck

I hate the Dell download manager. But it sounds like your buddy can set you right.

Well he came over and was able to successfully install most of the drivers. Seems firefox wouldn't work with installation while Internet explorer does. But still having trouble with a couple drivers such as network. Here is a picture of the driver manager, it seems some of them are still uninstalled and I'm not able to install them. While trying to install the network drivers I get the error, not compatible with 64 bit windows. ? Not sure what to do. Thanks for the responses been a great help!
