Yes, that would work just fine.

Honestly, any 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 SODIMM RAM kit would work. $40 is a pretty good price. If you are willing to wait, you can occasionally find equivalent RAM kits from other reputable manufacturers for $25.

But you couldn't go wrong with that RAM kit you linked for $40

Is the memory he linked better than the stock memory on the M11x R2?

If so, I'm gonna have to jump on this. I'd really like 8GB of RAM on my R2 for multi-tasking

It is "better" simply because 8GB is better than 4GB (I am assuming that you have 4GB).

The manufacturer, speed, timings, etc isn't going to matter.

Just remember that the R2 only supports 800MHz, so regardless of the RAM frequency it's going to get throttled down to 800 (unless you're overclocking).

I've also read that if you are having blue-screens while overclocked in the BIOS with stock memory that switching out the memory may increase the speed at which you can overclock (and remain stable) to? I don't know much about this, so I'm hoping someone can educate me.

Either way, awesome find! Ordered mine off Newegg w/ free shipping! Thanks for the awesome deal find manny951, I really appreciate it.
