Hey all, Just curious if anybody has put a gobi card in after getting their laptop. I didn't order when when I purchased it new because I didn't want to spend an extra $125 on it, since I know I can get some on ebay for cheap.

My main questions are, is the GPS assisted on cell networks, or is it full GPS? And also, will any Gobi card work with the M11x? As I was thinking of getting an unlocked one.

if anybody has a modle number of one that works, that would be great too.

    Thanks!

I installed an unlocked Gobi card on my R1 and it works ok apart from the GPS. IIRC nobody has managed to get GPS working with an aftermarket card whether it's a Gobi or any other model.

You'll also need to install a pair of wireless antennas yourself since it'll only have a pair of antennas instead of 2 if you didn't order the Gobi card with the laptop.

Really the GPS doesn't work? Thats pretty lame.. Yeah I know I would have to install an antenna. But if I can't get the GPS to work, it almost seems pointless on getting one.
