Has anyone removed the LCD cover on the M11X?

Please post pictures if you do. I can't seem to find any screws.

Why do you want to disassemble your LCD?

I'm more than a bit interested in what is in a WLAN/WWAN model as far as antennas located in the lid.

Do they share the same antenna or are there two discrete assemblies?

And like yourself, how easy is it to disassemble.

    Unit 5 is alive.

There aren't any visible screws on there to remove. I'm guessing you'll need to pry off the cover with a plastic knife or similar.

If someone has already done this, pictures would be awesome !

The main issue you will most likely face after taking your LCD apart will be dust particles between the E2E plastic and the LCD. Even Dell doesn't do it, they will replace the whole assembly instead of just a faulty part like a scratched cover...

    Good luck

Don't take apart the LCD sub-assembly. Not a good idea... Order one with the WWAN or get a USB card instead...

I may be able to provide some clarification on the issue. The M11X LCD screen is a sealed unit and cannot be disassembled (at least not under warranty). The entire LCD screen, back plastics and all, is replaced when there is an issue.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
