Hey , well my new motherboard came today. Replaced without a hitch. However STILL the CPU wont overclock, interestingly whereas before I would get a BSOD before getting to windows logon, now when the comp says "starting windows", it just hangs there. No BSOD etc, the hard drive just stops.

Any idea's? The board works fine when not OC, however I would of thought that if the CPU was still not stable it would BSOD again.

When I boot in safe mode and OC, seems to hang after classpnp.sys loads...

Any advice on what I should do/get dell todo?

Personally, I dont think its the Mobo... do a stress test on your memory and CPU without OC and see if you can get it to BSOD.

I tend to agree. It could be a defective memory stick. Also not all memory sticks are OC friendly.

Well dell are sending me some new memory sticks. PC 10500 instead of the supplied PC 8500 sticks thinking that will solve it... hope they are right.

organisedrhyme - sorry to hear about your problems. I am getting my mobo replaced tomorrow. Glad to hear that they want to get to the bottom of the problem and are offering to fix it for you. What country are you in?

From UK based in Dubai but travel often to my fiance in states for pleasure and business! Lol. Anyhow dell hhave offered me a full system rebuild. Ie replacement computer. I may wait for one month till I am back in states and take them up on the offer....maybe when a refresh is due. Hehe. Anyhow they have been v good with trying. To find the problem, just no joy for me. Hope they have better luck with yours.
