    Hey guys,

for some reason, after a while the little rubber bumper's glue came loose and now I lost some of them!

    Which bumpers I mean?

In the bottom left and right of the keyboard are two that hold up the display, one is missing!

Beneath the laptop, there are two long ones on the bottom edge, both rubber bumpers have gone away for me... There's only the plastic now.

Again, on the bottom side of the laptop, on the top edge there are two little square bumpers, one has lost it's rubber top and is now a plastic bumper which can even scratch some surfaces!

Does anyone know where to get a full set on those?

Dell used to replace them sometimes, however now the M11x is defunct i think they kinda stopped that,

the biggest issue is that the upper left foot is actually connected to the chassis, and to replace it means a whole new chassis

i went and got some felt floor protectors, that you put on tables and stuff and they work just the same

I don't think the whole chassis has to be replaced as only the rubber foot glued onto it went missing...

Hope somebody knows if I can get those anywhere.

The rubber feet below the keyboard are held in with glue, the long rubber feet on the bottom of the chassis is infact plastic-welded onto the chassis, so yes those do need the chassis to be replaced.

As mentioned Dell used to provide replacements, but since being discontinued they don't have the surplus of parts to continue that service, so really eBay is your best bet.

We have the parts available for sale at the moment, since this is considered cosmetic it would not be covered by the regular hardware warranty and unfortunately the only way to get them would be getting the whole part (bottom cover and palmrest).

Just get some stick on pads. You get more height and nobody will notice them anyway.

Ah crap, I just looked at my olde worlde M11xR1 and it's missing the left hand rubber 'bumper' on the palm rest too.

I didn't even notice it'd 'leap to freedom'. Most of my 'feet' have gone too.

I did contact Laptop Lifts - rubber feet that protect your computer from heat and was informed they'd be happy to sell me a set of rubber feet and as they're larger/higher than the original, would probably reduce heat build-up.

May also be able to cut a rubber mount to 'size' to use on the top palm rest too.

Where's that ejohnson guy when you need him. I'm sure he'd have some steam-punk/industrial solution to all this. :D

    Bottom feet under the computer...

Buy cheap slim keyboard, remove little flip down feet from it, cut out mounts from keyboard. Cut holes in bottom of laptop, install feet mounts, epoxy, install flip down feet.

    Done :)

or, just buy these horrible things...

Fun solutions! I am actually looking to sell the thing, so I'd rather have it how it was before.

    Alienware-L_Porras:

Could you give me a price on those parts? I want to see if it's worth it for me :).

Somebody makes a version that looks a lot like the KB props. Low low profile. Not sure where I ran into them

Wow! Speak his name and he magically appears. :D Just don't say his name three times.

I've bought a set of 'feet' from http://laptoplifts.com/ , so we'll see what happens.
Think with a Stanly knife one should be able to shape something out of a 'slice' of one of the feet.

Bigfoot will have nothing on my M11xR1 when these suckers are wedgied on.
