    Hey Folks,

Just installed a new Momentus XT drive into this little monster and am in the process of doing a full reinstall of the OS. Problem I have run into is that there seems to be a couple of drivers missing from the Dell site. This is causing 2 entries in the Device manager to show as not being installed. These 2 devices are both labled "Base System Device" which does not really give me much to go on as far as what to even look for.

Now, I have done a system restore in the past and was able to pull the drivers form the Dell site. It appears they have changed something in the past few months and may have missed restoring some files to search for the M11x.

Here is a list of drivers I have installed from the Dell site:
    Bluetooth
    Card Reader & 1394
    Ethernet
    Free Fall Sensor
    Intel Cantiga-GS45
    Realtek Audio
    Synaptics Touchpad
    WiFi

    Additionally I have installed:
    Cyberlink Youcam
    Command Center
    On-Screen Display
Intel Video drivers from the intel website
nVidia Video driver from the nVidia website (dells driver does not work)
The 3G driver although this model does not support the 3G.

So, with all that said, anyone out there able to assist me with this little problem?

    Cheers,
    Cory

Yes, also completed all Windows updates to be sure there was nothing there.

I beleive that is the Intel Cantiga-GS45 package mentioned in the OP. That was downloaded right from the Dell site.

If that is incorrect please point me to the correct drivers.

Gave those drivers a try, they do not appear to resolve the issue. Trying a fresh install again with those chipset drivers to be certain nothing else I have tried or installed is interfering, so far it still does not look good.

Can you post a screenshot of device manager with everything expanded? Perhaps I can compare to mine and see what's missing.

I think I founf the answer over HERE in a post from Overzealot and a link to some different Card Reader drivers.

Finishing up this install and will see what is left, but those 2 entries seem to be gone now. Will post again once I know for sure.

I wonder if there is someplace I could post a .zip of the drivers I am using for others to grab?

I'm having issues getting the 335M to install and work properly. I was able to get it installed, however my OS is defaulting to the Intel, also I have 2 "unknown device" listings in my device manager.

New Laptop Fresh install of Win7 Ultimate x64.

On the R2, the Intel GPU is always on. The 335M only activates when specific applications are launched.
