    Hi Everyone,

I just purchased an Alienware M11x R3 from the Dell Outlet and it came with the OS Recovery Disc but not the Resource CD. Is this normal? Where can I get the drivers from if I have no disc? It has Alien Respawn on it. Should I use that? Thank you for your help. Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching but keep getting told that my search is invalid.

It's a recovery disk - it recovers it to factory settings, drivers & all. If you are using the disk or respawn or the recovery partition on the HDD, the drivers are all on there.

But if you need to update them, just go to the Dell site.

Thank you for the information. Have you ever restored your Alienware just using the OS Restore disc? On mine, it says that "This DVD is not for reinstallation of programs or drivers." The last m11x I had (R1) came with both an OS Restore disc and a Resource disc.

Hi there, on the new systems all you will need is a Win7 Disc, everything else can be obtained online.
To reinstall windows you could either use an external device or flash drive.
Once on windows you can download the drivers from here, just add your service tag: LINK
The rest of the software from here, you will IE for this one: LINK
    Alienware Respawn from here: LINK

Thank you for the response. I am able to access the Drivers and Downloads website link, but whenever I try to go on My Dell Downloads, it says that my service tag is not supported. Is there any way around this?

Iono why it says that, Frank could probably look into that for you if you PM him.

But just use the options on the right (the 3rd one) to manually select the laptop model you want.

It might also depend on your country, there is an option for that on the top.
